The day's sewing. Funny poses as per usual. Another Scientific Seamstress raglan tee made in french terry lycra and cotton interlock Ooga Booga print.

Scientific Seamstress multilayer raglan

These patterns are very well put made with instructions suitable for a novice or expert. I bought the pdf e-pattern from Crafty-Mamas for our Wednesday forum sew-a-long. I even got the coverlock to play long - mostly nicely. Jeri will get to try it on when he gets home from school.
The red fabric is a 100% combed cotton, soft and strong. The stripes are a cotton blend I picked up secondhand. I made a complete double layer so it will be nice and warm this Winter. Even on the days that Jeri doesn't feel the cold and won't wear a jumper.
The pattern has lots of option features to choose from and it is easy to make the adjustments. I will definitely try more of these patterns. They are good value too.

And a rear view.
Home from school, modelled shots.

Demolition and waste.

It makes me mad and sad to see the resources wasted when houses around us are trashed.
So little that could have been reclaimed and reused was saved and was splintered and destroyed by the big Cat's jaws.
I'll have the latest pic in the morning.

Pernille for Winter

It's suddenly freezing cold. What more could a girl ask for than a sparkly fairy princess style jumper?
Here are pics of a work in progress. The sequined polar fleece is a challenge for my sewing machine. No problem for the overlocker.
OK, I discovered I jsut needed to rethread my sewing machine :) So all is good with the world.
Here is a link to the pattern by Janea Princess. One warning, the pattern is in German, but you can follow just about any basic guide for putting together a hooded tee and I think there are links to a picture tutorial as well.

Cinderella*Zwergen*Mode Lolita

*SHOCK* A sewing post!
This long sleeved top is by Cinderella*Zwergen*Mode available from Crafty Mamas here in Australia. We had a forum challenge to make up a Lolita pattern and Lisa kindly offered a 10% discount on the pattern price for the forum members to buy the pattern and sew a long.
This is a great pattern to use up those cute scrappy bits that are too small for most other things.
Isn't Pearl cute in her piggy tails! She has grown so tall and her hair so long.
I can see a few more of these in Pearl's future. :)
